Carvings.jpg Our 'Carvings' category includes sculpted reliefs on rocks, cliffs and even - in the case of The River of a Thousand Lingas, riverbeds - as well as carved boulders and free-standing statues or steles. Such sites may or may not be indicative of a temple or other historical site. An example of a cliff carving is Pha Mo-I-Daeng near Preah Vihear, while carved boulder sites include the giant animal figures at Srah Damrei and stele site are represented by the solitary rock inscriptions found at the corners of the East Baray.
