Ban Sakhae III (ບ້ານ ສະແຄ ສາມ - Pronounced: Baan Sa-kay Sam)
Another speculative site on our part, consisting of what appears to be traces of a square pond, approximately 50m x 50m with a tree-covered rectangular area situated on its west side. Both sites are aligned a few degrees off true east-west and this orientation, along with the regular shapes, would seem to point to the location of an ancient temple site. While the EFEO reported brick and sandstone vestiges in the area, as with similar Ban Sakhae listings, on the ground verification is required.
Several additional rectangular reservoirs are clearly discernable a short distance to the east and the site may correspond to the location noted by the recent EFEO survey known as Nong Khum Kham where the presence of several sandstone blocks was recorded.
