The most comprehensive online database listing all sites relating to the ancient Khmers. មូលដ្ឋានទិន្នន័យអនឡាញដ៏ទូលំទូលាយបំផុតដែលរាយបញ្ជីគេហទំព័រទាំងអស់ទាក់ទងនឹងខ្មែរបុរាណ។

Beyond Angkor, the 'idea' anyways has been thrown about since the early 2000's, to create a comprehensive catalogue of sites relating to the Khmer, including; Pre-Angkorean, Angkorean and Post-Angkorean. However lacking the technological know-how and having no idea where to start to undertake this mammoth task, the idea was all but a 'dream'.

Fast forward to January 2021, in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, one sits an ponders what to do during the extended lock downs.

And alas BeyondAngkor.org was born.

Beyond Angkor aims to be the most comprehensive, up-to-date online catalogue of all the Khmer related sites dating from the Prehistoric to Pre-Angkorean to Angkorean and Post-Angkorean era. The platform in which Beyond Angkor has been created is utilising a 'Wiki' database platform that has been customised showcase the ancient sites with interactive maps, historic information and image libraries.

We hope that you would 'Join Us' to explore 'Beyond Angkor' and help build this centralised database of information, photographs, location coordinates, articles and any other historical information relating to the Khmer sites listed on the website.
