Site Size & Condition: Medium Tuol Prasat Bos Ream (ប្រាសាទបុស្សរាម - Pronounced: Pra-saht Bos Ream)

A curious site lying in the forest a short distance north of Prasat Sandan and consisting of 7 east-facing brick mounds aligned in a diagonal from NNE to SSW. There's little to be seen today, apart from earthen mounds covered in bushes, but the site must have originally been an impressive one. A man-made pond is situated to the north although no remains can be seen of any enclosing wall. It certainly seems unusual that out of the 7 presumed shrines, nothing at all remains today except a few courses of bricks. Nor can we find any record of any additional artifacts being found here.

Furthermore - although foundations can just about be made out - the size of the mounds and quantity of bricks visible doesn't seem to correspond to full-sized shrines. While pure conjecture, it is possible that materials from what could be very early towers were reused for later sites at Sambor? Proximity to some of the few sites confirmed, with reasonable certainty, as belonging to the Bhavavarman I period could possibly place this site in that era.

Someone needs to get out there with a trowel, while a brick analysis - along the lines of a 2019 Japanese study at Sambor Prei Kuk - could be enlightening.
