Spean Chares (ស្ពានចារេះ - Pronounced: Spien Jah-rehs!) one of the many historic bridges built by King Jayavarman VII that spans the Royal roads leading out from Angkor to the far stretches of the empire. A medium sized laterite bridge along the ancient highway that is approximately 30m x 9m, has 9 corbelled arches and fragments of a pair of sandstone naga balustrades.
