Site Size & Condition: Ancient Bridge Spean Trung (ស្ពានទ្រុង - Pronounced: Spien T'rohng!)

One of the many historic bridges built by King Jayavarman VII that spans the Royal Angkor roads leading out from Angkor to the far stretches of the empire.

A medium sized laterite bridge along the ancient highway that has 7 corbelled arches and is approximately 30m x 10m. Surprisingly the bridge still has a sandstone naga balustrade, though it does look like the builders never finished carving it.

The bridge sits about 500m away from Prasat Spean Trung.
