Nong Hua Thong (ບ້ານມາກນ້ອຍໄທ - Pronounced: Nong Hoo-a Tong)
The village of Mak Naoi Tai is reported as housing an inscribed sandstone block - presumably in the monastery - in Lao language and dating to 1645. However, the text is found on an earlier - Khmer-style - pedestal of unknown provenance.
The site lies just north of the ancient Mon/Khmer settlement at Nong Hua Thong - and indeed Parmentier used this village name to refer to the site in his early survey - which could be the original source of the artefact.
