Site Size & Condition:Small Tuol Phu Lek (ພູເລັກ - Pronounced: Poo Lek)

This site, located atop a low, forested hill southwest of Ban Huay Na is recorded as being the probable origin of the half lintel formerly housed at Wat Huay Na. The damaged lintel still clearly displays a Thala Borivat style and is now reportedly housed in the Champassak Provincial Museum. An archaeological dig at the site during the 90s uncovered vestiges of a large pre-Angkorian temple site including plinths, colonettes and pedestals in addition to the aforementioned lintel. [1]

The location itself shows a partial square area - possible enclosing wall - formed by 3 straight lines of vegetation, (some 100m on each side) with a densely wooded area to the east representing a possible reservoir.

A slightly remote, but interesting, site that deserves further investigation.
