Site Size & Condition: Destroyed Site Size & Condition: Small Tuol Khok Wat (โคกวัด - Pronounced: Kok Wat)

According to Asger Mollerup[1], locals informed him that the provenance of artefacts currently housed in Wat Pracha Somnuk was a location amid fields to the west of the town, possibly correspondinmg to a now destroyed tuol site known as Khok Wat.

He was unable to locate any vestiges on the ground although in our opinion a possible location would be a farmyard 110m west of the unnamed ancient reservoir, T31123 which in turn is situated a short distance west of Wat Pracha Somuk.

A second possibility is that, if the reservoir - who's original size is uncertain - is of the the elongated form, regularly seen in the region, rather than the 2:1 ratio 'standard' baray situated east of a sanctuary, then an alternative, former sanctuary location could be envisaged south of the reservoir such as at 14.62103, 102.96863.

Either way, the site has reportedly dissappeared under the plough so any verification is unlikely to be forthcoming.
