Ku Muang Suang (กู่เมืองสรวง - Pronounced: Koo Moo-ang Soo-ang)
The ruins of an east-facing brick and laterite tower are located within the grounds of the active Buddhist monastery Wat Muang Suang. The wat is in turn situated within what satellite images indicate was a circular, moated settlement. (Listed as Muang Suang.) The ruins consist of a large mound of bricks, with a few intact sections of wall still visible, sited on a laterite platform.
Reportedly a bronze Vishnu figure was unearthed at the site along with a sandstone plinth or pedestal. The TFAD has provisionally dated the structure to the 11th century.
The wat grounds show signs of being surrounded by a moat and are orientated to some 87-88 degrees with traces of a possible causeway leading east. If the path originally lead to a reservoir to the east there are no traces today.
