Site Size & Condition: Medium Ruin Prasat Sra Hin (ปราสาทสระหิน - Pronounced: Pra-saht Sa Hin)

Web photos show a significant number of scattered laterite and sandstone vestiges - including an intact doorframe - in a square, tree-covered area some 300m south of the large reservoir of Baray Ta Khu. However, a recent visit (June 2023) revealed the site to be completely overgrown with vegetation and just the tops of said doorframe and taller, standing sandstone blocks, are visible.

Earlier photos suggest an east-facing brick and sandstone tower on a laterite base while several on-the-ground sections of doorframes, in addition to the still standing one, indicate additional structures such as a likely 'library', enclosing wall and gopura. Sections of carved window balustrades and a rectangular consecration stone are also visible on dry season images while traces of a moat have been discerned to the north and south.

Baray Ta Khu measures a respectable 200m x 400m with an alignment of some 88 degrees undoubtedly corresponding to that of the sanctuary while a smaller, now dry reservoir (Sra Hin), is also discernable approximately 200m east of Prasat Sra Hin.

(Note, the site is also known locally as Prasat Muang Ta Po.)
