Site Size & Condition: Other Structures Chandar Khang Lech Prasat Phnom Bakheng (ជណ្ដើរខាងលិចប្រាសាទភ្នំបាខែង - Pronounced: Jon-darh Karng Lech Pra-saht P'nom Ba-keng)

One of three ancient laterite staircases that traverses the four sides of Prasat Phnom Bakheng.

Some evidence remains of an enclosure wall and gopuras around the base of the hill and lion statues mark the foot of the staircases. (The latter steps are no longer in use and access is by way of paths winding their way up the slopes.)

This one in particular is located on the western side of the hill, and is flanked by two large sandstone lions. Other staircases have been listed as Chandar Khang Kaeut Prasat Phnom Bakheng and Chandar Khang Cheung Prasat Phnom Bakheng.
