Muang Sung (เมืองสูง - Pronounced: Moo-ang Soong)
The present-day village of Muang Sung fits snugly into a well-preserved, moated, circular settlement measuring some 450-500m in diameter. Intact sections of a 40m wide moat are present on the west, south and northeastern sides of the village. No vestiges are recorded within the village although an irregular-shaped reservoir, amid fields to the east, may conceivably correspond to an original, associated baray.
The village is bisected by a straight road running northeast-southwest connecting to Nong Tat and Ban Faek respectively, both of which also appear to have begun life as circular settlements.
