Site Size & Condition: Medium Ruin Prang Ban Sida (ปรางค์บ้านสีดา - Pronounced: Prang Baan See-da)

This partially intact brick and laterite tower on a laterite base, featuring some in-situ sandstone elements, is located in the grounds of Wat Prang Sida a short distance east of Highway 2, which connects the modern-day cities of Nakhon Ratchasima and Khon Kaen. Some of the upper section in brick appears to be a reconstruction although sandstone elements still feature some stucco work including a highly eroded lintel over the western, false door on which some apsaras are still discernable. (The aforementioned wat is worth checking for artefacts.)

Elongated ponds immediately north and south are clearly remnants of a moat with an eastern (and possibly western) causeway while the site shows an alignment of some 86 degrees.

A much larger, rectangular pond to the east appears to be part of a large, elongated, moated area stretching some 2.5 km north-south and averaging around 4-500m in width. The northern sector houses the modern-day village Ban Non Muang which displays a clear circular form. As seen at numerous other sites, this suggests that an original, probably Dvaravati or prehistoric settlement, was subsequently greatly expanded to form a large, Khmer period town. (See Muang Boran Ban Sida for further details.)
