Nong Singh (หนองสิงห์ - Pronounced: Nawng Sing)
Reported site of provenance of a sandstone lion statue, situated 2kms east of Prasat Ta Leng. The CISARK website's directions appear to correspond to a small, partially intact, pond site although our GPS coordinates are unconfirmed and the site itself is undescribed.
The location sits aside an ancient causeway running due east-west connecting Ta Leng to its baray, (today known as Nong Klong), situated slightly to the east and continuing some 3kms east to what is today Khok Sung Village. The causeway actually slightly cuts through the southeast corner of the pond site and so presumably dates to a later period.
We are unaware of the present location of the statue and are also unsure whether the site is considered to correspond to an ancient sanctuary. Further verification is required.
