Prasat Bak (ប្រាសាទបាក់ - Pronounced: Pra-saht Bak')
Is a small laterite tower just to the west of the main access road halfway between Neang Khmau and Prasat Chen. As the name suggests (Bak meaning broken in Khmer) the site is in a highly ruinous state. An intricately carved plinth in the centre of the shrine - unfortunately now broken - formerly housed a large Ganesha sculpture. (Makes a change from lingas.)
Various sandstone fragments and blocks including decorated colonettes scatter the ground although no lintel is in situ.
In recent years, a relatively intact Ganesha statue was repatriated back to Cambodia after being stolen by the famed Douglas Latchford.
