Site Size & Condition: Medium Ruin Prasat Banteay Preav (ប្រាសាទបន្ទាយព្រាវ - Pronounced: Pra-saht Bon-teay P'reav)

The site of a sizeable site that housed three brick temple towers, surrounded by a laterite enclosure with an east entrance pavilion. The towers no longer stands, and only a small portion of the walls can still be seen. The moated temple site is oriented 90 degrees due east.

Inscriptions K.220, K.221, K.222 dated from the late 10th to 11th century and were inscribed in old Khmer text. The current whereabouts of these inscriptions are unknown, as they were last documented being in situ, however Japanese explorers visited with no sign of the door frames.

Scattered around the site one can find piles of bricks, fragments of lotus petals and other sandstone blocks, along with portions of the laterite enclosure.

The temple is surrounded by a moat with an east entrance causeway that leads onto 550m x 250m man-made reservoir Baray Prasat Banteay Preav which sits on a slightly different orientation of 85 degrees, whilst there is also another moated temple site by the name of Prasat Kok Prasat (Svay Chek) located to the southeast oriented 80 degrees.

Another medium sized reservoir sits to the south measuring approximately 400m x 190m which we have listed as Baray Prasat Banteay Preav II.
