Site Size & Condition: Medium Prasat Prasat Kompom (ប្រាសាទកុំពុំ - Pronounced: Pra-saht Kom-pom)

This site plan resembles a possible arogyasala, with a central laterite tower (albeit appears to be of an earlier style) with a small library in the southeast corner and surrounded by a laterite enclosure with a east entrance pavilion. Located about 50m to the north/northeast is a rectangular man-made reservoir and a smaller reservoir 100m further to the east.

There is a theory that not all of King Jayavarman VII's arogyasala's were built from scratch, and that he may have re-adapted some former sites or even re-used former arogyasala's that were built by his predecessors. There are a number of sites, like this site where the single central tower depicts earlier art styles, though the overall layout of the site seem to point to a arogyasala layout with a library in the southeast corner surrounded by a laterite enclosure with a east entrance pavilion and a nearby man-made reservoir to the east measuring 65m x 35m and to the north measuring 200m x 100m.

The northern most reservoir has been listed as a separate entity Baray Prasat Kompom.
