Prasat Plae Beng (ប្រាសាទផ្លែបេង - Pronounced: Pra-saht Plae Beng) would have been one of the more important temple sites in this area but today - perhaps due to looters and treasure hunters - is in a very sad state.
The ruinous sandstone and laterite site is situated to the east of the Rahal in the line of similarly-styled sites running NNW-SSE and has a similar alignment to Prasat Krachap just to the north. Little remains of 2 supposed laterite towers on a platform although the remains of an elaborate, Banteay Srei-style gopura can be seen to the west. Numerous carved sandstone blocks lie on the ground including pedestals and remains of a linga.
