Site Size & Condition: Museum Sra Morakot Museum (พิพิธภัณท์สระมรกต - Pronounced: Pee-pitha-phan Sa Mora-kot)

Small museum located close to the southwestern corner of Sra Morakot and displaying artefacts unearthed both in the immediate vicinity as well as at the nearby Muang Si Mahosot settlement site. Exhibits include early Dvaravati-period objects from the latter site as well as locally found late 12th-century Buddhist artefacts.

Linga pedestals are also on display including a Chenla-style rounded yoni with soma sutra. A scale model of the original arogyasala, Prasat Sra Morakot has been constructed outside of the exhibition hall.

Update During our most recent visit - in Oct 2024 - all exhibits had been removed, (we're guessing to the Prachinburi National Museum). However, the doors were still open and the information boards, maps etc were still in situ while a few damaged laterite and sandstone pieces, including pedestals, remain in the museum garden.
