Tuol Prasat Andaet (ទួលប្រាសាទអណ្តែត - Pronounced: Tool Pra-saht An-det)
A seated, sandstone Buddha image currently housed in the Battambang Provincial Museum lists a location in Serei Meanchey District named Tuol Prasat Andaet as its provenance.
The district today has a rather remote location in the northwestern sector of the province - south of the concentration of sites in neighbouring Banteay Meanchey Province - and has so far revealed scant vestiges or ancient sites. It may however correspond to the path of ancient route(s) leading from what is today Siem Reap and Sisiophon districts across the border hills to Thailand's Sa Kaeo and Chanthaburi Provinces. (The latter being home to the important early port site of Boran Sathan Muang Paniat.
Although the Buddha image has been dated to the late 11th century no additional details - or indeed artefacts - from this site are known and the statue does not definitively date the sanctuary itself. Note that we also have no coordinates for the site and those offered above merely indicate the most promising-looking location we could find in the area on satellite images.
