Site Size & Condition: Wat Wat Andong Kdei (វត្តអណ្តូងត្តី - Pronounced: What Andong K'day)

Active Buddhist monastery displaying several blocks of sandstone and laterite. To our knowledge, no decorative items or inscriptions are included. Neither are there any traces of a moat or terracing and with a west-northwest and east-southeast orientation, we're not convinced the monastery was constructed on an ancient site. There are traces of a rectangular reservoir to the north of the wat which has a similar, but not identical, alignment to the monastery and we're not convinced the 2 sites are associated.

West of the reservoir is the earth mound, Tuol Pramad Dei, which also shows ancient vestiges but without revealing any discernable orientation. Fragments housed at Wat Andong Kdei could conceivably originate from this site and it could even conceivably be associated with the reservoir but further information is required.
