Site Size & Condition: Medium Tuol Wat Prei Veng (វត្តព្រៃវែង - Pronounced: What Prey Veng)

Active Buddhist monastery housing a diverse collection of artefacts reportedly originating from several different tuol sites located in the vicinity.

Artefacts include a well-preserved head of Harihara in sandstone, a linga plinth in excellent condition and assorted sandstone and laterite blocks. Other important relics include a damaged Baphuon-period lintel and 3 inscriptions, K.80, K.1028 and K.1029. The former is dated to the late 6th century and the other 2 to 614 and the late 6th - early 7th century.

To the far east corner of the wat, is a small neak ta shrine by the name of Neak Ta Bon which houses a few artefacts.

The evidence then covers a wide time frame from a probably Bhavavarman I period through Isanavarman I, Bhavavarman II to late Jayavarman I and point to a range of nearby temple sites from the late 6th to early 8th centuries. Clearly an important Chenla-period site. Due to recent development in the area, it is highly unlikely any of the original toul sites are still visible.
