Dong Khon (ดองคอน - Pronounced: Dong Kon)
Circular Dvaravati settlement site with some traces of a surrounding moat located a few kilometres south of Muang Sankhaburi. Dong Khon was presumably some kind of satellite agricultural settlement of the larger, riverbank city with a similar occupation timeline. Some Sukhothai-period (?) ruins are discernable in the northern section of the settlement but we have no information on precise vestiges. Numerous artefacts from a cross-section of time periods have been unearthed here including Dvaravati style Buddhas and plentiful potsherds, some of which are now housed in the Chai Nat Muni National Museum.
