Prasat Ta Maen (ប្រាសាទតាមែន - Pronounced: Pra-saht Ta-mehn)
Ruined temple site situated some 3 kms northeast of the village of Romchek and consisting of the remains of a brick tower and 2 'libraries' plus a laterite enclosure wall and vestiges of a sandstone eastern gopura. The temple is in very poor - as well as unfinished - condition.
Despite being situated some distance from Koh Ker, the site is generally placed in that group although, with a location alongside an important ancient road and with no indicative decorative elements on display, almost any 10th or 11th-century date could fit.
Update: An inscription on a doorjamb was found very recently displaying 4 lines of ancient Khmer text and dated to 994, (K.1575), which would place the site in the post-Koh Ker period and the reign of Jayavarman V.
