Site Size & Condition: Small Tuol Wat Klang Si Chiang Mai (วัดกลางศรีเชียงใหม่ - Pronounced: Wot Klang See Chee-ang Mai)

A rustic, lakeside, Buddhist wat located in the far southern corner of Nong Han Lake slightly north of the similarly laid out Wat Pa Eo Kan Wipatsonwawat. The sprawling grounds feature several shrines of recent construction, a collection of Dvaravati sema stones plus a raised earthen mound - topped with a seated Buddha image - which reveals a layer of laterite blocks as well as numerous brick fragments. The laterite presumably represents the platform of an ancient brick tower.

The wat has a small museum, (Wat Klang Si Chiang Mai Museum), housing pottery and sandstone artefacts which we assume were unearthed in or in the vicinity of, the temple grounds. The extensive grounds may include additional vestiges and/or artefacts and require a comprehensive survey.

Note, this listing likely corresponds to CISARK's 6304, named as Ban Wat Tha. (Unconfirmed.)
