Prasat Phon Sim (ปราสาทโพนสิม - Pronounced: Pra-saht Pon Sin)
A small, very overgrown mound featuring a number of laterite blocks situated in farmland a mere 2kms or so west of Sakon Nakhon City. The site shows signs of excavation - certainly by looters, as it doesn't appear to feature on the TFAD provincial survey. We're unaware of what if any artefacts have been unearthed here.
Although the mound itself is small we've categorised the site as 'medium' since field boundaries immediately east of the site suggest a possible reservoir was originally associated with the site. No other obvious features stand out on satellite images but further on-the-ground verification is required.
