Site Size & Condition: Small Tuol Wat Snay Pol (វត្តស្នាយពល - Pronounced: Woit S'nay Pohl!)

This active Buddhist monastery is listed as being the former site of an ancient temple. The CISARK website recorded brick, laterite, basalt and sandstone fragments as well as 2 ponds situated to the east of the main vihara. The ponds are still just about discernable although little else remains today except for a few sandstone fragments in a spirit shrine.

An inscribed 2-sided stele, K.66 (28 and 18 lines of old Khmer dated to the 6th-7th century) was discovered here and subsequently moved to the Angkor Conservancy for safekeeping. Additionally, a seated Buddha statue, described as demonstrating an Angkor Wat art style, was also unearthed here and is now on display at the National Museum of Cambodia.

Some early reports also state that the inscription originated from 'Tuol Prasat' which was apparently located about 450m away.

The original form and size of the ancient sanctuary is undeterminable while insufficient vestiges remain for accurate dating. The inscription date is a more likely one for the temple with the Angkor Wat-style Buddha having been deposited here at a later date.
